School Unification

The fall of 2008 representatives from the area Catholic Parishes began a process to address total Faith Formation, including Catholic Schools, in the metro area. The group explored the question: How can we effectively pass our faith onto people of all ages. From this discussion, it was recommend that Sacred Heart School merge with St. Augustine/St. Mary’s Cathedral School.

On December 8, 2009, the merger of the schools was announced. Next school year, 2010 – 2011, the students will be on the existing campuses and share one principal. The start of the 2011 – 2012 school year will bring all students, teachers, and staff to one school building on the St. Augustine campus.
