Evelyne Dietrich is a native of France. She is a renowned French artist and runs her own art studio for children and adults in Chamonix, France. The view from her studio is Mont Blanc. This is Evelyne's second year at Sacred Heart School as an Artist-In-Residence. Last year, our students created paintings with many techniques and materials, including acrylics, tempra and watercolors. This year we are working on sculpture techniques with clay. The students will also continue to learn new painting techniques. Last year, under the direction of Evelyne, we created a large mural depicting Mont Blanc. Every student, teacher and staff person had a hand in its creation. It now hangs in our school and reminds us daily of Evelyne.
