Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

150

A spirit of joy surrounded our celebration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus the weekend of June 21. Volunteers were honored, Fathers were blessed, food and fellowship was shared. The highlight of the celebration was the burning of the mortgage. Seven years after the start of construction, our worship space debt has been retired. Our prayer: Gracious and loving God, we give you thanks for the ways you work through us. Again we ask you to bless all those who had a part in making this sacred place a reality --- donors, volunteers, and prayers; architects, artisans, and laborers. With hearts full of joy, We rededicated ourselves this day. Guided by your word and nourished at your table, may we continue to build your Kingdom, be enlivened by the Spirit, and cemented together by love. May we welcome all as Christ and may others find in us the heart of Christ. With saints and angels, we lift our voices in praise of your glory. Amen
